Craig came to me in need of modernizing his WIX website for his consulting business, First Creek Partners.

His original site was rich with information about his incredible, extensive career working with non-profits. However, the value was muddled in a site that had convoluted navigation and dense blocks of text.

I optimized the landing page by streamlining the design and site navigation menu. We wanted a potential client to feel inspired and welcomed when they arrived on the landing page by capturing their attention with a relevant question-and providing immediate information about Craig’s services below. The CTA button is intuitive and clear.

As you can see in the following screen recording, I wanted the user to feel an immediate connection with Craig and his mission. By adding a short introduction, separate from the “about” page I was able to achieve just that, in a more concise way than the original landing page. Another CTA button was added, this time inviting the user to learn more about Craig’s services and providing social proof by adding testimonial’s directly under Craig’s Bio.

Next up was redesigning Craig’s “About” page. The original page was a broad “what we do” overview, instead of information about Craig’s personal journey into consulting, or any fun facts users might find relatable about him. The featured photo also seemed like too much of a departure from the casual, windswept headshot on the original landing page and wasn’t consistent with branding.

I also collaborated with Craig on reformatting his “Services” page. Although the original provided in-depth information, the offerings weren’t entirely clear, and Craig ended up rewriting the copy himself. There was no clear call to action and didn’t do justice to Craig’s professional services. I encouraged him to distill his services into 3 different, clear offerings with a brief description of the value of each.

The final result was a more visually appealing page with three clearly defined services, a short description and an intuitive next step with the Discovery Session schedule button.
